Friends of the IT band

Remember that often the IT band tightens in response to tension in the quads, hamstrings, and adductors or even the glutes. Therefore, remember to stretch these areas as well.

As always, think of Einstein’s saying “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result”. Hence, if stretching the IT band alone isn’t relieving symptoms, look elsewhere for the cause.
