Move with intent and confidence
The rider must have confidence in themselves. Poise says so much about a rider’s frame of mind and self respect. Look at these two pictures. Which rider would you rather be? When a rider sits or stands tall with their gaze forward, that resembles a rider with a goal and determination. A downward gaze with a slumped posture resembles a sad, defeated rider. Whenever a rider gets on their horse, they must have a positive intent and believe that they will accomplish their goal at some point. Fake it until you make it.
