The next exercise challenges us to look at any and all objects in a room and say I have given everything I see in this room all the meaning that it has for me. This includes both objects and humans or animals or anything living.
My interpretation of this exercise is that we find equal value and meaning in everything whether it is a chair or a dresser or an end everything is just as much importance.
You could turn this around and look at something and say, “what does that mean to me?” and then you answer it saying, “nothing I see in this room means anything” which is back to the first lesson.
It seemed to make more sense to me when I combine those two lessons.
