Grounding Exercise

When the mind is racing and concentration is impaired, complete this simple grounding exercise. Grounding is a technique to bring you back into the present and away from dwelling on the past or planning the future. I highly recommend Eckhart Tolle’s book “The Power of Now”.

Here’s how to ground yourself. Sitting in a chair or in standing, close your eyes. Feel your feet on the earth. Imagine an energy coming up through the earth filling you with strength and stability. Now envision a beautiful light coming down from the Heavens filling you with wisdom and courage. Lastly envision that you have a tail wrapping around the center of the earth. Allow all negativity to flow down this tail and into the earth saying this does not benefit me; therefore, I do not need it. Feel yourself rise up and ready to ride.
