Listening to your body

There is a poster in my wellness center that says “Listening to your heart, finding out who you are is not simple. It takes time for the chatter to quiet down. Only in the silence of your mind and the stillness of your body will you find your true self: Listen”. It’s so easy to keep moving, but this can be an avoidance. Being still can be very difficult and several unwanted thoughts and body twitches can arise, but in that uneasiness is where we discover ourselves and healing begins. Take just 5-10 minutes each day to be still and listen. Lee Coit has a great book simply called “Listening” which I highly recommend.
