What a glorious time of year as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Christ Jesus.
What does it mean to be saved? It means that God so loves us that he will do anything to keep us close to him.
Why does he want to be close to us? He wants to be close to us so we will trust in His way over our way, which gives us peace for today, hope that tomorrow will be better, and patience if each day just gets harder.
He wants us to know how incredibly loved we are not because of what we do, but because of who we are, His child. He gave us His Word so we can always hear Him speak to us and remind us that he stays faithful to His promises.
What are God’s promises? He promises that you can do all things through Him according to His will. Read Philippians 4:12-13
I also found this very wonderful post that I recommend as well. 7 Promises of God to Man
This past month had a few challenges for me that allowed me to put my faith to the test. What did I do? I stayed in the Word. I trusted God. As I prayed, I listened to His divine plan and reflected on the bigger picture of the many tasks that were put on my heart earlier this year. I began to understand. It was as if the pieces of a puzzle were being put together. I understood His plan and I trusted it. Surrendering to God’s will is a beautiful thing. That’s where we can find peace and joy in knowing that we don’t have to go about things alone. God will provide and guide us. He will do anything for us if we will only let him.
Praise God for the coming of His son, Jesus Christ. In Him, we are saved from our sins so that God can be with all of us. No veil separates God and his people. You do not have to be a high priest, a prophet, or “do” anything to be in the presence of God beyond accepting Christ Jesus as your savior. The veil is gone. We are one with God, Emmanuel, Prince of Peace, Savior of the world. Meditate on that while listening to the song below sung by Pentatonix. Feel the presence of God with you. He is here. Merry Christmas and God bless.
Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Voyage to HEAL Weekly Task
Prayer: Dear God, I have no reason to fear if I trust in your will and intervention. Thank you.
Stretch: Stand with your feet spread more than hip with apart. Now reach down to the group with both hands. If you cannot touch the ground, place your hands on a chair, footstool, or yoga block. Reach one hand up to the ceiling. Do not go beyond what you can. Hold just for 10 seconds and go to the other side. Breathe
Exercise: Since we are stretching the middle thigh muscles, let’s also strengthen them! Fold a pillow in half or grab a 10 inch ball. Place it between your knees and squeeze. Do 10 fast pulses and then 10 slow squeezes and releases.
Habitual Change: Have you ever tried using your phone with the opposite hand? Challenge your brain and become ambidextrous.
Perspective enlightenment: Challenges are God’s way of getting you on the right path.
Journaling option: What are the puzzle pieces of recent events in your life? In other words, what thought did you have that down the road you realized why that thought popped into your head? Isn’t God amazing in the way he works?!
