As I am working more in the kitchen, I realized how important it is to choose the right cutting utensil to cut foods. As an occupational therapist, I was constantly thinking of energy conservation tips for my clients lacking endurance. I was also modifying tasks for clients that didn’t have the strength or coordination to complete tasks as they used to. Here is a simple home tip to making cutting foods easy. Also, remember to organize your kitchen for ease getting everything out that you will need prior to starting. Other organizing suggestions include keeping the garbage can close by while cutting and the dish you are putting the food into to cut back on running back and forth in the kitchen.
